3. Legal Basis for Processing
We process personal data under the following legal bases: (a) Performance of a contract when delivering design services; (b) Legitimate interest in improving our platform and communicating with prospects; (c) Consent for non-essential tracking, which you may withdraw at any time.
4. Data Retention
Project-related data is retained for 5 years after contract completion for legal and accounting obligations. Marketing contact data is retained until you unsubscribe or request deletion. Analytics data is aggregated and anonymized after 26 months.

Under the General Data Protection Regulation (EU) 2016/679, you have the right to: access your personal data, rectify inaccurate data, request erasure ("right to be forgotten"), restrict processing, data portability, object to processing, and lodge a complaint with the Romanian supervisory authority (ANSPDCP).

Terms of Service
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using DesignCoreLab's services, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use our services. These terms apply to all visitors, clients, and users of designcorelab.com.
2. Service Description
DesignCoreLab provides UI/UX design, design system architecture, interactive prototyping, usability testing, and product design consulting services. All deliverables are specified in individual project proposals and statements of work.
3. Payment Terms
Payments are due as outlined in the project proposal. A 50% deposit is required before work commences. Remaining balance is due upon delivery of final assets. Late payments incur a 1.5% monthly fee. All prices are in USD unless otherwise specified.
4. Intellectual Property
Upon full payment, all design deliverables, prototypes, and design system assets are transferred to the client. DesignCoreLab retains the right to display work in portfolio unless a non-disclosure agreement is in effect. Pre-existing tools, frameworks, and methodologies remain property of DesignCoreLab.
5. Project Timelines
Estimated timelines provided in proposals are good-faith estimates. Delays caused by client feedback loops, scope changes, or force majeure events extend timelines proportionally. DesignCoreLab will communicate any schedule impacts promptly.
6. Limitation of Liability
DesignCoreLab's total liability shall not exceed the total fees paid for the specific project giving rise to the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including lost profits or business interruption.
7. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of Romania. Any disputes shall be resolved through the competent courts of Maramureș, Romania, unless otherwise agreed in writing.
Refund Policy
1. Refund Eligibility
Refund requests are evaluated on a case-by-case basis according to project milestones completed. DesignCoreLab operates on a milestone-based payment structure, and refunds apply to unpaid milestones only.
2. Deposit Refunds
The initial 50% deposit is refundable if cancelled before work has commenced. Once design work has begun (defined as delivery of initial concepts or wireframes), the deposit is non-refundable as it covers discovery, research, and planning phases.
3. Milestone Refunds
For completed milestones, refunds are not available as work has been delivered and accepted. If a deliverable does not meet the specifications outlined in the project proposal, DesignCoreLab will revise the work at no additional cost within the scope of the original agreement.
4. Cancellation Process
To request a refund or cancellation, contact [email protected] with your project reference number. We will review your request within 5 business days and respond with a resolution. Approved refunds are processed within 14 business days to the original payment method.
5. Non-Refundable Items
The following are non-refundable: completed design deliverables, third-party tool subscriptions purchased on your behalf, rush fees, and consultation sessions that have been conducted. Custom research and audit reports are non-refundable once delivered.
6. Dispute Resolution
If you disagree with a refund decision, you may escalate by contacting our management team at [email protected]. We commit to resolving disputes amicably within 30 days. Unresolved disputes are subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of Maramureș, Romania.
